“Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful ones.
O Lord, I am your servant;
I am your servant, the child of your serving girl.
You have loosed my bonds.
I will offer to you a thanksgiving sacrifice
and call on the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
in the courts of the house of the Lord,
in your midst, O Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord!”

—Psalm 116:12-19

Beloved,

Not everyone experiences loss in the same way. There are varied levels of attachment and people process feelings differently. But the losses that are significant to you are also significant to me, and I will meet you in the depth of your grief.

I remember all my faithful who have died and hold them close to my heart. Their lives are important to me. They are precious in my sight, both when they walked on the earth and now in eternity. I know each by name and preserve their memory.

You can talk to me about loved ones who have passed away. I understand. I am ready to comfort and listen because, you, too, are precious to me. I hold you in my heart alongside all my faithful both living and dead.

—Love
