Practice Seeing My New Creation

A Practice in Listening to the Inner Voice of Love
For I am about to create new heavens
and a new earth;
the former things shall not be remembered
or come to mind.
But be glad and rejoice forever
in what I am creating;
for I am about to create Jerusalem as a joy,
and its people as a delight.
I will rejoice in Jerusalem,
and delight in my people;
no more shall the sound of weeping be heard in it,
or the cry of distress.
No more shall there be in it
an infant that lives but a few days,
or an old person who does not live out a lifetime.—Isaiah 65:17-20
Beloved,
Practice seeing my new creation all around you. Imagine a time when things will look vastly different. A time when the earth is healed—all of creation, extending to the cosmos, brought back to integrity and wholeness.
Imagine a time when there is no more pain in your life. Your psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual wounds have been completely healed. Imagine when every source of pain is removed from the world’s collective consciousness. When there is no memory of sickness, racism, slavery, sexism, violence or war—all forms of brokenness have been completely extricated, as if they never existed.
Imagine having no cause for weeping or distress. When loved ones aren’t lost or dead, because their lives (and your relationships) are restored in eternity. Imagine never again experiencing grief, anticipating loss, or fearing death.
Imagine a time without economic disparity, homelessness, or people on the margins of society. Imagine food and water being distributed equally and abundantly, and no one going hungry. When everyone is safe and has a place of belonging.
Imagine families living in harmony, all divisions breached. Rather than lording power over one another, there is complete union and peace. Imagine all of creation abiding in, and under, my Original Blessing.
Beloved, be glad and rejoice in what I am creating. I delight in you and I created you with joy. Delight in me and take joy in the things I am doing.
